What is Multiethnic Young Life?

Multiethinic Young Life is our ministry  which focuses on kids of color from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, who live in communities that have a history  of being socially and economically disadvantaged.

Urban kids, like teenagers everywhere, seek identity and significance.  They want someone to express, "You count for something!"  Young Life leaders provide unconditional love and acceptance as they share how the God of the universe loves them.  They do this by showing up, mentoring, listening and being involved in the school and the community.

Many of these urban kids have a hard time seeing a positive future.  They often experience hopelessness and low self-esteem.  They have very visible and tangible needs.  They feel most adults have abandoned them and left them to fend for themselves.  Understanding that the God of the universe wants to get involved in the practical needs of their lives is a very important part of the message we are communicating to them.
